Even among all the hoopla surrounding the Olympic Games in Vancouver the Liberal party is hosting a summit to help small business and hopefully hammer out ways that they can hire more people increase their profit margin through the business grants that are offered by the Canadian government. “Small business drives the Canadian economy, yet Mr. Harper has decided to raise payroll taxes and kill jobs at a critical point in our recovery,” said the federal Liberal Leader.“The Liberal Party has a different approach – we want to look for ways to lower EI premiums for those who are trying to create jobs, as part of a long-term vision for sustainable job creation.” The Liberals have put forth various job creation projects amongst them one that will give incentives to companies that hire young Canadians who are currently suffering double the unemployment rate nationally. They also endorse the various government grants that are available.
